Well I definitely got the social distance part right. I was the only nutjob out in the snow with a bicycle. Story to come soon!

Very nice. Went out on a ride in the rain today. No one else out. Headed in once the lightening started going. Nice pics.

Yeah, even going downhill slightly in the snow was difficult to pedal through . Although downhill at speed was kind of even more difficult due to multidimensional movement making things frightening. Uphill was actually impossible which is why I gave up eventually and hiked a bit. Fat bike would probably actually be fun since it wasn't deep enough to get stuck or anything like that.

Yup - from experience - fat bike at about 4 psi in the tires. It is pretty neat to be able to go through stuff that a normal bike won’t. The traction is amazing. Nice pics..I gotta go for a ride now. Thanks!

I have studded snow tires for my touring bike but they're no match for powder. Less than six inches or ice they are awesome.

That would have been ideal for this low depth crusty old stuff. I only kept going for a bit because there were clear patches to make it still rideable. So it definitely wasn't fresh nor deep.
